Paint Correction & Polishing

Reset your finish before protection. Multi-stage machine polishing under proper inspection lighting — done right, once.

Paint correction is the difference between a car that looks clean and a car that looks new. We use dual-action and rotary polishers, multi-step pads, and dedicated inspection lighting to lift swirl marks, water-spot etching, and oxidation out of the clear coat.

Most Sacramento daily drivers benefit from a single-stage correction; neglected paint and dark colors may need two or three stages. We assess paint thickness in person before we touch a polisher.

What's included

  • Pre-wash, decontamination, and clay treatment
  • Paint depth gauge measurements
  • Halogen / LED inspection lighting
  • Compounding stage to remove defects
  • Polishing stage to refine gloss
  • Final IPA wipe and inspection
  • Optional sealant or coating prep

Why does paint correction matter before ceramic coating?

Coatings are clear and permanent. They magnify the surface beneath them rather than hiding it. Correction is what makes a coated car look like a showroom car instead of a shinier version of a tired one.

Frequently asked questions

Will paint correction remove all my scratches?

It removes light to moderate clear-coat scratches, swirl marks, water-spot etching, and oxidation. Deep scratches through the clear coat may be improved but cannot be polished out without repaint.

How long does paint correction take?

A single-stage correction is typically one day; multi-stage on a heavily neglected car can take two or three. We always assess in person and quote honestly.

Do I need paint correction before a ceramic coating?

Almost always yes. Coating bonds permanently to whatever is under it — including swirls and water spots. Correction is what makes a coating actually look correct.
